I want to make a small led sign similar to this one:
except mine will be say LOOK HERE and I want mine to blink on and off about 1 or 2hz/sec. a further problem is that the letters need to be around 2 to 3" tall. 4" tall max.
I know I can buy bread board and resistors and solder it all up like this instructables

but that is pretty time consuming, is there any product ro technique out there that would make this easier?
this sign will be placed behind 1/16th thick white polycarbonate to diffuse it and protect it from the general public.
It will be used inside a photo booth and put next to the camera lens so drunk people know where to look to get their photo taken.
