Do you see PAPER JAM in the display.

turn off printer
open front cover
slide print head to the right and away from jam

release paer level

cut off material where cutting groove is nead post heater

turn feed material backwards onto feed roll

close cover
power on

make sure Check paper light is on and the PAPER OUT LOAD PAPer is in the display.

then reload material.

I have seen where a printer was near a bright light source and the sensors were over loaded.

1136 is carriage motor so it may be blocked

By any chance did you try to unjam the printer while it was still powered on? You should always, ALWAYS clear head jams with the machine off and unplugged to avoid damage.

The head lock bracket is located on the top of the carriage rail. If you remove the top cover over the maintenance area, you can see it. Release it, slide the carriage out a few inches, and try to power on again. If you get the same error, chances are that the motor driving chip has been blown.
