OK, so I am just curious what the best way to do this is.
I have a logo that is about 30x30 (circle, with one line of text under it).
It is going on an aluminum blank.
I usually just print a big square, a little bigger than the sign itself (in this case 36x48) and just apply it as one big sticker and flip the sign over and cut off excess.
I am thinking about just creating a contour around it and printing and cutting to apply it separate so there would be the white aluminum showing (which is the color that is supposed to be showing).
I am trying to figure which way is better and why.
Some of the things I thought of was, not having to worry about edges peeling if I take it to the edge of the aluminum (not that I think that is a problem, but could it be?)
Maybe the aluminum showing may look better than vinyl white?
Oh, and saving about 2 feet of material.
I really don't know why one way is better or if one way is correct. but I would be interested in learning the reasoning.
It is so easy to do a square, easy to align, easy to install, not having to put back in printer to contour cut/weed.
But, I want to do it right.
Is there a right way, or is it just personal preference.
Thanks!
