Question HP 110/310

Hey guys, I have a doubt regarding HP latex 110 and 310.

Are they both the same model? Is the 310 a generation older? Any differences?
I can't seem to find any info online because both machines are discontinued since the 115 came out and I am a little bit confused.

My understanding is:
Older generation: 310/330/360/370
"Newer" generation: 110/335/365
Newest model: 115

Is the 310 entry level just like the 110 but a generation older, newer, just another model of the same generation?

Thank you and hope you guys have a good weekend!

EDIT: there's also the 315 model, no idea where that fits in there

Ok so, according to HP's website the latest generation is:

115/315/335/365/560/570

Would the last one be:

110/310/330/360/370(?) and then the 5xx series

Still can't really tell the difference between the 110 and the 310

110 has no internal cross cutter and smaller ink carts at a really high price. Everything else is the same.

The XX5 designation is just mid model run improvements to prolong the model life.

Right, thanks for that 2CT appreciate the help.

I am still trying to figure out if the HP 310 is a generation older than the HP 110 or if they are part of the same generation.

My understanding so far is that the 310 came out with the rest of the 3 series: 330, 360
Then they introduced the 110
Then they updated models to xx5: 315, 335, 365
And the last one to come out was the 115

they released the 110, 310, 360
then they made minor changes and added a 5 to the end
the 110 does not have in a media cross cut like the others
i have the 360 and have loved it ever since i got it

Latex 110 ink - 400 ML at $90 (.225 cents per ML)
831 ink is 775 ML at $135. (.175 cents per ML)

in USD of course. Not MUCH more... but still worth it if you do large volumes of printing.

the 310 doesn't have a crosscutter... The only difference is the ink size.

The 110/310 come in the same box. And I'm starting to get the feeling the only difference is the firmware - My 110 can hold 310 ink carts... the 110 carts look dumb in the system. I think HP just put a limit in the firmware to block the 831 carts, so "Entry level" people can get in for cheaper.

I've seen other industries do that, didn't know HP would though - Makes me wonder if I can upgrade the firmware and get access to the bigger carts... ;)

If you do figure out how to fit the larger ink carts let me know!!!

Been rocking the 110 for over a year. If I had the 310 I could make the same margins charging $.10 less per sq.ft. lol
Crosscutting is super easy as well. Cheers.
