Recovering from strokes!
Have a 5500 that is currently using DYE ink. I want to switch to UV PIGMENT.
I understand need to change inks, heads & cleaner.
** Can I remove current tubes and clean for uv use?
Is there a mechanism on machine for such a purpose?
Need help bigtime!!

You need to buy a specific UV kit for the printer that contains lines, heads and cleaners. Just cleaning the lines won't work.

Hello Kanini!
I know that I must change ink, heads & cleaner, However, After doing that, Can I clean and reinstall existing tubes. If not...why?
Thet are new and in excellent shape! If pigment ink will not damage them, why spend money when there is no need?
Just trying to think through this. Have very little cash since strokes. Thanks for responding!! I love this!!

You can put the other system in if you want to switch ink trains. It's very easy.

Try buying a used z6100 instead of dumping money into a 5500.
