HP 560- Pinch Wheel System doesnt seem to be applying full pressure

Hey yall! Hope everyone is well.

We're having a bit of weird thing happening recently on our HP560 where on paper media (thinner medias as well) where the drive roller is moving but the pinch rollers do not seem to be applying enough pressure down to actually move the media. When opening and closing the window, we dont see the pinch rollers move up and down. We're assuming the media movement issue is related to that, almost 99% sure. Do you think we're in the right direction as to what we should be looking at/replacing? Most if not all other media seems to have no issue (vinyl, floor graphic).

Any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!!

Definitely not to the same degree it was. I can see the flaps behind the rollers move up decently, but when coming down, it's much slower and doesnt seem to move with any force. Its an older machine, from around 2017, so got some mileage. Just had SMK3 number 2 done. Could the whole pinch system be worn at this point? Thats kinda what it seems like to me. Thoughts?

If the pinch rollers are not moving up and down, your cam arm has most likely broken. HP has a metal version of the cam arm now. I attached a picture of a broken plastic cam arm and one shows the metal vs plastic version.

We have the replacement metal cam arm for sale on our website for $175.50 plus shipping, https://www.thegrs.com/item.asp?id=CQ871-67101&Type=0. We also have documentation on how to install it.

They are moving, but very minutely, slowly ,and seemingly weakly. Would that point to worn pinch rollers more then? Cam arm could be a possibility too, if it is a metal one now, could our original be worn out? Sorry for the questions, i know a pretty solid amount about the 560, but under the hood is where i start to get a bit lost.

My guess is the cam arm has failed based on your symptoms. If the motor had failed the printer would be generating errors.

If you take off the cover shown in the attached picture, you should be able to get eyes on it to confirm. i have also attached a picture that shows what it looks like.
