HP 570 - errors.

I recently purchased an HP 570 printer in addition to an HP 370. It was a used machine not connected to any RIP by the time I checked the machine. Was able to print report and the printer was functional at this point.
When I moved it into my shop, I replaced some empty 3-liter cartridges, deleted old media profiles and because of no online profile for 3M IJ35C decided to copy a generic profile and create the profile from scratch.
Error 79.2:04 popped up. Restarted the printer and the same problem. I contacted HP support and they suggested making the hard drive recovery, uploading the latest firmware via USB drive, and trying again. I did HDD recovery and uploaded the previous version. The printer was running and I was able to clone media profiles. Only one weird message popped up when I was making color calibration - 58:04 - incompatible color sensor firmware version. The HP support team recommended doing HDD recovery again, unloading the latest version, and then, via the diagnostics menu, resetting the error 79.2:04. I did that and the printer nor failing with the error every time I am trying to clone a media profile or adjust it.
Somewhere during the process, I had an error 59.4:10. Looks like a hardware issue. On YouTube, I found a video with an older latex printer where a guy says that the cable connected to the print carriage sometimes becomes loose and reseating the cable can resolve the issue.

Any thoughts? I am totally lost and not sure what the next step is.

Could be that the HDD is going out.

Are you sure about the 94.2:04 ? I could not find it, unless it's in the user guide.

A little update. The HP support recommended on-site service. $1900 with response time up to 5 days. They can't say over the phone what part must be replaced. I purchased the original SSD and will try to replace it first - it cost me $260 from eBay. Then the main board... The main board is approximately $550 from the same source. Then will see... Fingers crossed.

$1900 is crazy.... Does Grimco / other sign shops not do support on printers in USA? I keep hearing these insane Epson / HP fees to come look at printers.

We pay $75 an hour and $50 in travel for them to come diagnose.... 90% of the time they don't even charge for diagnosing and just charge for the part + however many hours to repair it.

The price includes everything - parts and labor.

Sometimes it pays to contact HP before throwing parts. They know this first hand anyway, only let it out a week ago.

Depending on where in NJ you are located, call GRS out in Wharton ( www.thegrs.com ) and see if they could help. The service HP printers. Been using them for 20± years.
We have nothing but good things to say about GRS. They are very helpful. My neighbor in our industrial park used them for years. (he switchEd from Mutoh to mimaki printers)

Just be patient, a new firmware release is coming out soon to fix the 79.2:04 errors. In the meantime, change your printers DNS to 127.0.0.1 which will prevent it from accessing the online substrate library, but also help prevent the 79.2:04 errors. In the meantime, if you need to download a new preset, do it from your computer and manually upload it from the printers embedded web server (the ip address of the printer).
