HP design jet carriage hight

My carriage is a tad too low and crashes slightly into the media edge holders.
I know the l28500 is not supported anymore but I thought the mechanics might be the same on many design jets so maybe some one has an idea of what has worn so the carriage is a bit too low? Thnx

Does it move a lot up and down on the lower rail? It has (bronze?) bushings on it that can wear if it's high usage unit.
Or is it tilting forwards?

It has a plastic "slider" on the top rail as well. I'm quite positive it's the same as on L360 so you should be able to find one.
If you try and feel it, that one always has a little play.

You sure it's not just problem with the edge holders?

It's a little work to get to it. You have to take the right end off. Belt and encoder off etc etc. Then pull the carriage out.

OK. Thanks. Yes. I replaced a few parts on my z6100 on the carriage already.. I will check that out. Could be the deal.
Have to find a replacement part now.
