HP L260 separate printer from stand

I'm getting rid of my HP L260. To be able to get it out, I need to remove the printer from the stand. I'm not planning to reuse the printer. It's going to a recycling plant. I would like to know what procedure should I do to avoid having ink everywhere, separate the printer from the stand and be able to manipulate the printer.
