HP L26500 Ink Sludge

I have two printers. 1 L210 and one L26500. I replaced the print head cleaning kit on the L210 today and when I replaced the filter I decided to check the filter on the L26500 and found what I can only call Ink Sludge built up in under the filter. I have attached pictures of what I found. Any idea why one printer has this and one doesn't and why is it happening?

Are you speaking to the filter at the ink collection bucket near the floor? If so, I would look at the hoses and make sure that they are properly and completely seated into the collection bucket, and that they are clear and not obstructed by dried or congealed ink in the tubes.

Seems like there is a backup in your lines on the one machine. Probably partially dried ink from the heads. Or might just be due to heat while printing and then when it sprays in the filter it slightly dries. This might be a big reason why everything is contained in one maintenance kit now that slides in.

Thanks guys. I will check the ink lines but its weird because the bucket that is replaceable is basically empty and there is all this partially tried ink above it and my other printer the tank was full when we just replaced them print head cleaning kit and there was no ink in the reservoir above the tank and right below that white filter that you replace. I tell you this printer has had a lot of problems in the bast 3 months was hoping to have it until the end of the year before upgrading it to a new L300 series.
