I have an HP Designjet L26500. Recently, when turning on the printer the carriage rail seems to make a loud clunk noise. Any solutions to fixing this issue?
does it error out with 'head crash' as the issue at all?
we had an issue with the print head carriage smashing in to the side wall upon startup- it ended up being a buildup of gunk on the carriage rails.
cleaned & lubed the rails completely & haven't had the problem since.
you may need to replace the belt, mine did that for a while. It made a clunk on the left side. I tried putting extra oil on it. I think our tech replaced the belt and it was good.
