HP Latex printing on inside of roll. - problem

good morning team. I have a L28500 and the transportation of the material is usually working well. Now I have several rolls that are rolled ouside in.. so the printable surface is inside on the roll meaning, I have to reversly install the roll. Now the gears pop out when the printer is backing up the canvas!.. because the angle is different.
Is this due to my gears are worn?.. or is there something in the setup I need to change for inside out rolls?
might be the same on all HP latex printers?..

On other ones if your roll lock breaks it will do that. Otherwise it should stay in just fine.

It might be broken then!.. I have another printer that doesnt work. I will exchange those parts

Thnx for the input. I just wanted to be sure. I exchanged the take rewinder Module now. From the other printer that I can't get to start.. now it's tight!.
