Does anyone have a trick to get small text (7pt) to print sharper or am I at the limit of what this unit is capable of?

If your alignment is done manually with well prepared Printheads , then it might be the best with the actual degradation of ph‘s.

Print at least 10 pass. The carriage slows down and is more accurate.
But do alignment first as accurately as you can.

You could also lower the printzone airflow if it's on the high side. Possibly add a little more optimizer if it's on the low side.
