HP R2000 FlatBed Belt Cleaning

Anyone have a cleaning solution or technique that you think has good results for cleaning the belt? Typically we dont really need to clean our belt, but I think its probably time to do so. The app says to use a solvent like acetone, but I have a hard time believing thats what we should use. And even so, should it be dilluted? Etc. It'll be my first time cleaning this belt for this machine so any input would be great.

Thanks!

Turn off the machine. Take a rag and saturate it with isopropyl alcohol (or avery surface cleaner ex).
Spray it on the belt as well and put the rag on top of that area. Let it sit for few minutes and then brush away.
Rinse and repeat on next area.
Let it evaporate for how ever long it takes.
