HP Scitex FB500 Flatbed Printer
Working and printing perfectly up until last winter. Starting getting some error codes and would stop mid-print / shut down and restart sporadically. Had a printer tech come in and try to diagnose and replace parts to solve the issue. Replaced several parts hoping it would fix the issue, but it seems to be something in the coding as opposed to a damaged part. HP has not gotten back to me since August about opening up a repair ticket, so our company has decided to cut our losses and bring in a new flatbed printer for the shop.
Printer still runs and works great, still throws error codes, and will shut down or stop mid print on occasion, but 90% of the time prints like a work horse. Just too unreliable for the workflow in our shop.
All maintenance has been done on time, and has now been put into transport mode to keep the integrity of the printheads and other parts. (Will need a new Vacuum unless you know how to clean ink out of a small shop vac)

Great machine if you can solve the issue; or due to the "end of life" status for this printer model, perfect for parts for an already running model!
FB500 Model, with Roll to Roll accessory, two sets of small extension tables, and two sets of the longer extension tables, as well as all the ink currently in the printer and an unopened box each of HP Light Magenta, Light Cyan, Cyan, and Black ink.

Printer had to be dismantled to make room for the new one coming in.
I have a list of parts, accessories, and ink that I saved from it that are up for sale if anyone is interested in parts for their working model.
I'll add the list once I have it compiled, otherwise feel free to reply or send me a message to inquire about anything specific.

Thanks!

Man who touches printers inappropriately.
Seeing more and more of those getting scrapped. End of an era and parts are getting a bit scarce while electronics failures are all but guaranteed at this point. They had a good run though.

That was exactly our problem. We sunk a bunch of money into it, and ran out of available parts to get it back to 100%.
I'm just hoping the parts I salvaged out of it can help someone else keep theirs running!
