I need drivers

This is welcome help. Now any idea how to match my plotter to the numbers as I’ve looked in all the obvious spots for the labels,to no avail ?
I’ll scour again.

But youll need to use a usb to serial lead if you've not got usb drivers (which are very hard to find)

You can still connect most old printers and cutting plotters that used to work with a serial port on a Win95, 98, Win XP and Vista to a PC with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 using a serial-to-USB cable and run your old machine with the right software like Flexi and Cadlink. The drivers for old machines at Flexi and Cadlink are updated with every new version of Windows, and the software works perfectly with the old machines as well.

You can buy a serial to USB cable on the internet for a small amount.

What i wanted to say
Basically you need to connect cutter and pc usb - usb cable, so need to know whats written in device manager for these old rebranded ALIBABA devices to download universal China usb driver for all devices on market
Can get in this page for rs232 interface (on cutter you have usb and com ports together on one side) driver (pick windows universal or what os u have)

Reboot pc and cutter and look device manager again - it will be found under serial cable with adressed Com port (just remember assigned com port number and baud needs to match what is in cutter settings, no need to change something else inside except when sending something large to cut and see on cutter /waiting/ error on screen, then need to set read/write timeout in advanced settings both to 3000)

Can send U directly software package and driver (like roland gives cut studio) for Creation cutter you have

Works on linux win11 macos
Linux Macos - still need to use free Inkscape to cut
All Windows versions (including 11) - standalone software (still can run with Inkscape also for free)
No need for corel draw 2026, illustrator 2026 and etc (yes these devices works in latest software too, but it's slightly tricky to tell what u need to do)
For fun theese cutters works from android phone too - tested on my Huawei 80 ultra phone connected usb - usb+typec adapter

So what i wanted to say - these drivers runs gcc, summa, mimaki, creation, some roland modes and others too, so you just need sign software where you chooae your model, communication between cutter and pc, test if it moves and cut

Later will drop U software, runs all cutters over world

People forget that the majority of plotter still use hpgl or a version of it.. So if you can't find the right plotter - just use something similar.. Should work fine.

As for usb ports.. GCC for some unknown reason lock their drivers behind multiple walls. So.. If you can't find the usb driver.. Just use the serial port instead.

Oh YEAH ! Great. I’m not so regretted as I’m getting good unselfish feedback from my new friends. Been doing designs since 1966 that no machine can duplicate but now I want one to. Thanx. Chippy

If the cutter can use raw HPGL, should be able to set that up within the OS and run without an official driver (just use the Print function of one's vector program of choice and send it to the cutter that way). The cutter should be able to parse what it needs.

Downside is that one will need to set things up more manually compared to using dedicated software, but it will work. How i got my stuff to work on Linux as there aren't that many native options on that OS.

I have a vinyl express panther 24" made by gcc (jaguar ii). My lxi software will not run with the service pack 3 so i purchased a new flexi starter program. Problem is it appears that i need a driver for the cutter in order for the machine to work. Does anyone have a driver? Gcc's website has drivers for downloading, but...you have to sign up for gcc club, which i did, but... In order for me to be able to download drivers i have to register my machine, which i did, but...since the machine was purchased through signwarehouse they will not let me download drivers. Signwarehouse does not support these machines since they discontinued selling them...help!!!

I have a VinylEXPRESS 30" I use Easy Cut Studio 6. Used it on Win 7 as well as Win 10. I use USB, but I believe it has serial port drivers as well. The software cuts great. Hope this helps out.

Also, I had to use, or did use on another setup, the R Serials drivers from Roland.
