I accidentally posted this in another forum -- sorry about that. I hope any conversation happens here.
I'm installing a heavy piece of aluminum on an existing monument sign and a bunch of acrylics on walls this week, so I got to thinking about holding them in place 1) so that I can peel the VHB off the aluminum and then place it precisely where I want it (no second chances!), and 2) so that I don't have my wife leaning against the acrylic while I center-punch the holes for the wall anchors. Does anyone have any tricks to share? I found two cool tools that may (or may not) help:
These are designed for cabinet installers, but maybe they can hold a sign in place? They appear to be fine-tune adjustable so you can get the level just right between two of them under one sign.

I would love to find these that adjust to 50" or 60", but I'm planning to put these on a sturdy table to hold the acrylics for me. The guy at Lowe's said they just started carrying them. I see some other brands available on Amazon that go up to 23".

Any experience with either of these, or other suggestions?
