Has anyone had recently this problem. 3M IJ680cr material having darker lines appear where the pinch rollers are placed on the material when printing.
We have an older Roland soljet pro III XC-540. This problem has recently appeared with the last 2 rolls we have used. Asked our supplier if anyone else has seen this.
Apparently, no one else has this issue. The work around is to just use the outer rollers and not place any in between, which is not ideal as this material is heavy and on longer lengths the material can move.
The defect shows on the prints. Don't know if manufacturer has changed this material, and can't seem to contact anyone at 3M. Had my machine checked by our tech and everything is fine. Tried lowering the heat and no difference. Any help would be appreciated. Been using this material since we started printing 20+ years ago. Thinking about changing to another. No issues with non reflective material.
We do alot of Police vehicle and emergency vehicles and the 3M is a little more robust to the abuse they get. We like the Oralite for stripes. All of the reflective is ridiculously expensive, so open to suggestions.
Thanks
