illuminated sign light blockage

We have a large "in house" illuminated sign that was left from the previous building owner. Upon sliding out the panels they appear in great shape.

We have a symbol as a logo and would like to cover 90% of the sign in Cast Black "gloss or matte" so no light shows through and inlay our logo in green translucent so only the logo shows through at night. We purchased some Avery 900 supercast to try out and light is still coming through. What do you guys recommend to block out the light?

3m blockout vinyl 3635-20B or 22B - comes both black with white adhesive (22b), and white with black adhesive (20B) - I would still use the supercast of the face, and 2nd surface apply the blockout
