Illustrator CC Printing Issue

Having trouble with text printing with a shape behind it lately in Illustrator CC (you can just see it to the right of the B in the photo). Does anybody have any idea what causes this?

Is there any effect on the text? Drop shadow, outer glow, anything? I see this when applying effects within illustrator... Try flattening the image and print it again.

Or if you know anything about your RIP software try changing the rendering intent / ICC input profiles all to Perceptual, without flattening the file. I had this same problem yesterday and both things I've mentioned fixed the problem... Just curious if the same works for you?

Yes it's the same thing as that. It's doing it for me regardless of whether there are any effects applied, not all of the time just on some jobs. I've tried flattening and expanding but it doesn't change, never had a problem using previous version of Illustrator. Might have to try perceptual but would rather not have to change printer settings if possible. Thanks.

Yea, I've noticed that it shows up on some colors more than others... But can u copy and paste your artwork from ill into Photoshop? I use photoshop when saving as a flattened image, I don't really like to flatten within ill... Trying saving from Photoshop as a .tif with no layers and see if you still have the same problem
