Illustrator color pallette won't give me CMYK, only RGB

even though my document is in CMYK (yeah, I know and I just learned tonight that I'm doing it wrong but that's beside the point).

My color slider bar thingies are RGB and I don't know why or how it got that way when the file is set up as CMYK.

Color Panel Mode Change

You can select in the upper right corner of the Color Panel, then a drop down menu will appear, and you select the which color you want, RGB, CMYK, etc.

yeah, Illustrator can take some getting used to, that's for sure.
