Illustrator equivilent of Helvetica

James Burke

Being a grandpa is more fun than working
Looking for Illustrator's equivilent of Helvetica...anybody know?

After watching the movie "Helvetica"...I found a possible clue, perhaps. I'm going to take a wild guess and say "Switzerland".

Thanks,

Jim

Switzerland was decades ago. it was renamed Helvetica in the 60's.
It was also made into one of the first computer fonts...I think by bitstream (Swiss 721) in the early 80's then was used as the base for Ariel font in 82.

It could be Swiss 721 you are thinking of...but since it's bitstream I doubt Adobe would include it.

Nueva is a serif font so it couldn't be used for helvetica.
