You can't use standard razor blades in the thing. They will fit, but if you bear down to cut something, they bend, and the cut gets all wavy and stuff. The thing _is_ great for cutting magnet, but the blades they sell with it are expensive.

Gonna try to put together a system where I'll be cutting off an edge, see how that works.

Yes the blades are expensive but it is worth it. It saves on cut fingers, not that I've ever done that of course.
We use it to score .040 aluminum and it works really well. Excellent for mags too like you said.
Besides this way they can sell you their special blades!!
