images have been printing bad

Hi guys seems the last cpl of pictures i have tryed to print out have got alot of banding and in general look bad ... kinda not crisp seems anything RGB is also that way ... I am using flexi 8.6 ... do i maby have somthing wrong in the job properties??? ... what should i have bitmaps set to for the rendering intent ?? Perceptual??

This is a better discreption ... they look Grainy ... kinda low res but i am printing 720

sounds like a raster artwork problem I assume (not vector). Possibly the original artwork is low res. Printing low res artwork at a high resolution still generates bad artwork.

Does it do the same thing with vector artwork?

if the orgin of the problem isnt obvious i always start with the simple.

the first thing i would do is pull up an old file that you have printed and were happy with the results and reprint.
