Question Ink channels crossing over

Having strange issues with our Roland VS640i printer, when printing light grey text or bitmaps with light grey shadows- they are coming out with a magenta tinge.
Did a test print & the Light Magenta has Light cyan colours in that channel.
Have cleaned the heads of course (even a power/choke clean) but still has a pink tinge to the light greys.
Cartridges replaced with new, had the heads & caps checked ( by a tech) , all okay, said it might be a recirculating issue or an electronics card issue , or maybe not !
It prints fine for most vector graphics or bitmaps, just won't print the soft shadows as greyscale or light grey vectors as just that.
Anyone else had this issue ?

Print some 30% magenta area and look if the light cyan goes away. If yes, power down the machine and move the carriage to the left. let it stand there for 30 minutes or so and look if you see drops building up on the nozzle plate. If this happens, you need to replace the damper/s. Otherwise it could be a scratch on the surface of the nozzle plate or a internal micro leak. Then you need to replace the head.

When I ran a Roland the capping station/pumps were the cause of cross-contamination. This was 15+ years ago on an sp540v though.

Just be prepared for it to be the head itself as well. The suggestions above are all good, however, whenever I see a wavy nozzle check patter like that in the light cyan, it indicates nozzle plate damage which would also cause cross contamination.
