Ink paint for rubber Zodiac

Anyone have experience with painting number on a rubber Zodic-type boat? Local fire Dept wants some Unit numbers on some boats, it's already been done on 1 boat so I know it's possible but I have no clue what type of paint it would be..I was thinking Silk screen ink might work?

Agree, vinyl ink for screen printing. Used to letter a lot of awnings with it. Just thinking about it gives me a headache.
