Is it realistic to think I can put a chrome wrap on this piece ?

Hello - new to this site, hoping I could get some solid advice about my idea.....I have a Honda 1800 Goldwing, I would like to 'wrap' this piece below in a CHROME material. I understand that it will not last forever, hopefully 3 years or so (??)
I am wondering if it's realistic to think that the wrap will 'stick' to all of the curvy surfaces. I realized that it will be a bit of work, if the material will 'stick' to this piece....I'm willing to put that effort in, try a few times....On my previous bike, I was able to buy a whole new piece that was chromed, but I have not been able to find such fitment for my 2014 bike.
Greatly appreciated if anyone can recommend a material that would work well and is easily obtainable in smaller quantities......this piece below is roughly 36" long and 10" wide at the widest part.

I would powder coat it.

"Chrome" vinyl is not like cast vinyl. It has the finish applied to the top surface and is both thicker and more rigid. Compound curves are difficult, and the chrome surface does not react well to stretching or heat. Knifeless tape leaves a ragged edge; you will need to hand cut it with a sharp razor knife. Edges are noticeable because the "chrome" is a polyester product bonded to the vinyl. The surface scratches by just looking at it.

You see these chrome wraps in the media and you have to keep in mind these are produced mostly for production companies that have essentially un-limited budgets. A celebrity appearance can cost well over six figures, and the rest of the event costs can can reach into hundreds of thousands of dollars. If the production designer calls for a chrome wrapped vehicle, spending $20k is just small change.

In the real world, few would be willing to spend that much for a wrap that will be damaged the first time you take it out. The max 3 year life-span would be a deal-breaker too (although I would figure closer to a year if the vehicle is outside and driven a lot).

ALL of the chrome wraps I have seen personally (done by local shops) were the last chrome wraps that shop will ever do!
