Saw some info on the main Mimaki site about rolling out new ELH & ELS Inks to comply with new Europe guidelines. That will leave the older machine owners in a rough spot for flexible Ink options.

Aftermarket inks and chips help a tone when it comes to keeping old machines running. Also, it uses the older chips that can be reset.

I used CMYK aftermarket ink but the White is problematic so I use OEM LF-140 . Really thinking about modding a machine to try the newer LUS-150, heads are different don't know if it would run through a Ricoh head.

Main thing is setting the temperature for the ink in parameters, the Gen4 heads should handle it just fine. I think LUS-150 is either 45C or 50C.

I'm gonna give it a go, let you know how it works. Ill just do a single channel to test it.
