Hi all,
Name's Matthew, I'm currently employed at Calm Air International LP as a lead stores clerk. My job is mostly aircraft parts and inventory related, however we are make our own in-house aircraft placards using engineering orders issued by Transport Canada.
Prior to last year, ALL of our placard/sticker making was done using the Gerber FX printer and plotter along with the Omega 6.5 software. Due to Gerber's recent communication that they would be winding down support of these printers, my manager and I opted to future-proof our operations and we decided to transition over to the HP Latex 630W and Summa S Class 3 cutter.
My project for the last few months is attempting to plug these machines into our general workflow and produce procedures for our department, however this proven rather difficult and has been a lot to learn.
I joined this forum to push my procedures over the finish line and further my knowledge for these machines. A lot of questions to come.
Happy to be here!
