or good time to start killing your own food from wildlife...venison, elk, squirrel, rabbit and the list goes on....I like to tell PETA people I am helping them by killing what's eating THEIR food!

Fong, relieved of her duties, was also found to be the main culprit for the reason so many fowl were killed, even when the weren't afflicted with the avian flu. Farmers had said they were threatened with fines, that were astronomical, if they didn't comply. Supposedly there's an investigation into this.
As for the cow, it was found that the likelihood if humans would be afflicted appear to be rare. It was also said that human to human transfer has not been documented.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I did study journalism in college. I was assistant editor of the newspaper.
