i just bought a older mamiki printer and the raster link 5.1 is web browser based. im not really feeling it. Can I update it to a newer version and it still run the jv3?

I've never really used Rasterlink (have a couple of copies of it though) but I was under the impression that its always been a browser based application even going way back to the version I had gotten with our old JV3 10 years or so ago. I'd probably contact Mimaki to be sure if the newer versions will support your machine and work like you are hoping though.
