JV3-250 SP Problem. Big Problem.

Hello. Im looking for some help with my JV3-250SP. I just purchased this printer and after doing a refurb (Ink Lines, Cap tops, Dampers, and cartridges) it now doesn't want to read the ink chips.

It was working when it was at the company that purchased it from, but when when i went to pick it up (after the company i purchased it from packaged it up) i noticed that one of the bulk tanks was broken and there was ink all over on one side of the printer.

After i finished the refurb I turned it on and the control panel wants me to load ink in all of the cartridge slots and it also gives me a "NON ORIGINAL INK" message along with a "BATTERY EXCHANGE" message. So I pulled the cover off where the main board sits and I notice that there is ink on the main board and the solvent had eaten up the battery holder.

I had a friend of mine who is an electrical engineer solder a new holder on and i replaced the battery and it fixed the "BATTERY EXCHANGE" message. It was siting roughly a month before i powered it up after the refurb.

My questions are:

If the battery is detached from the main board that long will all the parameters be reset?

Will the solvent ink eat into the metal connections of the circuits?

If it is the main board which manages the ics for 4 of the cartridges will it affect the IO board that is responsible for the other 4 cartridges?

Any input would help. Thanks.
