JV3 Firmware Downgrade

I need to downgrade my firmware from 5.00 to 3.1 Is this possible and if so does any one know how? Thanks.

Yes, it is possible.
You need 3.1 firmware file and tool name is "FWUpdateToolIIBeta04".
Please try to find them on internet, or please inform me your email. I can send to you.

When you go down to this FW level other than cartridge expiry date checking, what other features, capabilities or major operational fixes do you miss out on?

Is the printer really that usable at such an old FW level or are you asking for lots of sublte problems? Pls advise.

I purchased this printer with a bulk ink system that worked fine with the older firmware. But since upgrading the printers firmware the cartridges throw a "non original cartridge error. Since I cant downgrade I ordered new cartridge chips that work the new firmware.
