Hi all, first time poster long time lurker, in july I purchased a jv33-130 and I am so impressed with its output re image quality, I use winxp, illy cs3 and rasterlink, thinking that the cjv30-160 must be equal or better than the jv33 I went and purchased one, well after almost a month and 3 tech visits I am to say the least disapointed with the quality of the print, the tech says its a different machine and to accept that , has anyone else had issues like this, do I have an exceptional jv33? will wait until I get a reply from someone far wiser than me on this forum before I take it any further
regards Wayne :thankyou:

Welcome Wayne. Take some time to go introduce yourself properly in the appropriate section.

We run a JV33, have done for over two years and we too were and still are very happy with its output.
I know a few people that have the cjv30 and although I have said nothing to them, the quality is not the same, dont know why it just isnt.

Use for the lesser quality work or the stuff viewed father away. Not much help but you have bought the lump now so use and accept or sell it and buy something else.

Thanks for the prompt reply Steve, you confirmed what I was beginning to think, I couldn't in all faith sell this to anyone, but its only the beginning of this bun fight with spandex (the australian supplier), I haven't introduced myself because there is really nothing to introduce, all relevant details are in my profile, although we are printers, we are not pro sign writers and make no claim to be so, so in all fairness I leave it up to the pro's, we mainly print stickers and posters for the mining industry,
cheers Wayne

follow up

after several tech visits and reading everything I could about inkjet printers we have solved the issue, appears to be a combination of several factors, Media Compensation, Couple of blocked jets, Calibration and finally preheat and platen temps, not bad for a new machine Hmmmm however all appears to be well, learning curve, well u never stop learning

I settled on 35 35 47 finally, thats pre, print, and post and I'm using eco-solve, just did a run of 9000 50mm stickers, never missed a beat, beginning to like this machine now, has a steep learning curve compared to the JV33, however is all good now
