JV33 "Maintenance Open Mode" (Service Mode) - not working?

I guess the magic buttons to hold are FUNCTION + REMOTE while turning on the "main" power.

I am able to get into parameter entry mode just fine, and I know electrically both the function + remote keys work.

Anyone have any issues getting into service mode on a JV33?

figured it out...

it doesn't really announce that you've entered service mode.

After holding remote + function and powering on, I was in service mode.

From there I was able to hit function key a few times until I get to #TEST, #INK CARTRIDGES, etc.
