Hi all
I'm attempting to bleed some air from my yellow lines and need to get into Service Mode to do it (apparently). I've found the links & suggestions for bleeding, but none for Service Mode - just tons of "...you know how to get into Service Mode, don't you?" :)

Could someone shed some light, please?

Booting the printer with FUNCTION and REMOTE held down will put the machine temporaily into Service Mode (it will exit when you next reboot it). To leave Service Mode on permanently, boot with END and ENTER held, now go to SYSTEM PARAMETER, scroll to the 2nd to last item in the menu which will be SUPPORT and change from 0 to 2. Exit back out of the menus.

To bleed air you'll want to open the cartridge valves. Go to the #TEST menu and look for something like CARTRIDGE TEST or INK TEST (sorry, not near a machine or manual at this moment). Inside there will be a test for the cartridge valves. You can use the arrow keys to open/close the individual valves but it's much easier to just open all of them. There's a shortcut button for this - I believe that it's either INFO, FUNCTION or REMOTE - hit each one until the valves all click open.

To bleed air out of a damper I find the best method is to (carefully) remove the damper and then invert it completely upside down. Press the "button" on the side of the damper and the reservoir should fill with ink while air is pushed up out of the printhead end of the damper.
