Laminating 54"x 150'....

Hello everyone,

My very first 46' trailer graphic wrap it its all printed and I'm ready to laminate the 150' roll. But I need some tips. Being so wide 54" and so long, what its the best way to feed it so it does go strait as arrow.
I'm little sceptical doing this without any pointers from you guys.

So please give me some pointers.

I find it easier to laminate longer prints. We keep it on the core from the take up reel. Just line up the print, keep it taunt when you glide it in and it should work fine.

I'd run a few feet of scrap through to make sure you have the tension correct. If it's laying down flat and you're coming off the take-up reel core then it should run the whole roll without issue. I just find the 2mil cast lams to be a little tricky on the initial tension set-up. Once you're getting to lay down smooth it's easy as pie.

Whole 150' took me less than 20 min to finish. The laminator is really design to do this type of runs as well. The machine has media roll tension, as well as lamination roll tension adjustments and take up reel. Because of these three it really made it a lot easier to do this long of a run.

But the most importantly, knowledgeable friends in this forum.
Honestly, with the info I gather here i got the courage to give it a try and it worked very well.

Thanks everyone.:U Rock:

I'm pretty confident mine would do it at this point. but I wouldn't without smaller laminate or craft paper. What did you use?
I have a roll of "Braper" from fellers i used about couple of feet of it at the start up and than I pushed the media thru. I use Braper on smaller media as well.
My media was 54" and the Lam roll was also 54" as well, so I didn't use anything else after the couple of feet.

Wow, this is impressive.

I also have a royal sov, but the longest i usually need to do is only 5-10 metres. Without the take up reel and feeder option forget it though!
