Laminator Tips and Tricks - Getting an expensive education

A year or so ago we purchased a basic cold laminator. It is one of the USTECH models that I have seen others mention on this forum. This was our first laminator and we started experimenting and have basically taught ourselves to run this machine, which we use mainly for mounting digital prints to rigid substrates, and to apply laminate over these prints in some cases.

We are successful 90-95% of the time, but we occasionally ruin a print, which gets expensive. The issue we struggle with most often is setting the roller pressure. I would love to hear tips on how you ensure the pressure is optimum, AND consistent from one side to the other. Thanks in advance for your insight!

Which model exactly do you have? What size?

What do you have trouble with?

What thickness and size of materials?
