Laminators

How many shops have purchased a chinese laminator direct via alibaba or similar. How'd it go? I'm fairly self-supporting and can troubleshoot stuff on my own 95% of the time. Typically hesitant to even use support if I have paid for it because (not that I'm patting myself on the back) I've already done the things that the guy from pakistan is getting ready to read of the screen. Just curious

While I can't speak for experience on the buying side from one of those sites, I can say the cheap laminator I bought 15 years ago has held up well. It's been so long I can't remember where I got it from but I know it came from China because it was really cheap. Still going strong. Now we aren't a huge shop as we maybe run an average of 50-100 yards a month through it but it has far exceeded my expectations. Your experience may differ.

We’ve had good luck with our GFP laminators at FireSprint. They’ve been solid production machines for us, running a lot of rolls with very little maintenance.
