The Job
The Print Finishing Specialist is responsible for overseeing and assisting in finishing large format print jobs. Finishing includes, but is not limited to, trafficking projects through the final stages, trimming, laminating, CNC setup and operation, maintaining equipment, ordering materials and supplies, packing and shipping, and quality assurance.

The Job
The Print Finishing Specialist is responsible for overseeing and assisting in finishing large format print jobs. Finishing includes, but is not limited to, trafficking projects through the final stages, trimming, laminating, CNC setup and operation, maintaining equipment, ordering materials and supplies, packing and shipping, and quality assurance.
The Requirements:
- At least 3 yrs experience using Large Format finishing equipment (Laminators, Mounters, Digital Routers, RIPs)
- Aptitude for working with mechanical equipment
- Work well in a very fast paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Expert attention to detail
- Responsible for quality control
- Focus on quality
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to quickly identify problems and seek solutions
- Able to communicate effectively and work well with others in a team environment
- Must have flexible working hours and schedule including the willingness to work overtime if needed
- Reviewing department work orders, managing workflow to ensure all orders are completed on time, and consistently meeting customers’ quality expectations while maximizing production efficiency
- Ripping files and planning print jobs to Acuity flatbed printers and Colex CNC router.
- Producing rigid and roll signs and banners, custom finishing including lamination, mounting, sewing, grommeting, and trimming
- Custom fabrication of unique solutions
- Properly using and maintaining all department tools and equipment, maintaining equipment and coordinating maintenance and repair calls with vendors.
- Preparing large format signs, banners, and display graphics for shipping and delivery; creating custom packaging when necessary.
- Improving processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and controlling material costs
- Experience with large format imaging – roll and rigid printing and precision finishing.
- Experience printing on a large variety of substrates.
- Finisher, capable of laminating, mounting, and trimming to exact specifications.
- Understanding of Onxy RIP software and color management.
- Willingness to follow department policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.
