LED driver question

Hi everyone. I am new and this is my first post.
I make channel letter with 12V LED module system.
So, yesterday I got written up by UL representative because the LED drivers I use are not class 2.
My question is that are we absolutely required to use class 2 LED drivers or my UL rep is wrong?
