LOCATING 15" PUNCHED VINYL

Can anyone tell me where to buy 15" vinyl? The new owners at Fellers wont sell it anymore and neither will USCutter or Glantz. Trash my 45 year old Gerber 4b? Its the best machine made and I cannot feed the dam thing anymore?

Try Grimco. I just bought a 50 yard roll of 15" punched 651 transparent from them. They will probably drop ship it.

Soz, I couldn't resist. :roflmao: -- but props to still keeping it running! Would be interesting to know how many times it's paid for itself. ;)

Vevor cutter? ...not hardley. :) But, I like the new cheap pinch driven ones too. The Gerber 4B is a mighty workhorse from 1980. I want to keep being able to buy 15" vinyl for most things, its usually all I need, it is a money saver. I use 50" vinyl also when needed. I used the 50" vinyl yesterday (they probably sold it to me as 49" but my tape measure says its 50.

pinch roller feed is practially useless if you go longer than 12 feet
my smc4, your 4b or a gs 15 you can run right to the end of a 150 ft roll & back to the beginning NO ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS at all

gerber had 30" punched vinyl as well, but, that died a long time ago

Grimco has Oracal 651 in 15" punched, as well as 3M 50 series 15" punched rolls, Avery Denison 15" punched, and they have Gerber film as well. We order a lot thru Grimco, and are always happy with them.

I had a 30" tractor feed Gerber. The rubber drum kept melting!! I was like WTH?! They would sell me oanother one for $800 dollars and NO GUARANTEE! and 3 yrs later it turned into a sticky glob and melted again!! It takes 6 hours to replace that drum!!

i have seen those coming apart, but, all my gerbers have good rubber parts, even my smc4 (before the 4b) that i have had since1992

i always assumed someone used acetone of MEK to clean the rubber and damaged it
