Looking for a close proximity...

I realize this was hand-painted 25 years ago in the wettest climate in the continental U.S., but does anyone have idea of what a font would be that's CLOSE to this? Obviously not looking for an exact replica, but something close.

Try using Myriad Pro Bold Condensed, (it looks like a very good substitute)...Is that your best photo?

If you have the sign with you, take a photo straight on, upload to your comp, tweak it in photoshop, illustrator, or your design program of your choice

basically tweak it to scale and use that a template to type over.
