Looking for a roll-on clear for UV printed metal signs

Years ago we used Frog Juice spray to give our HP printed UV metal signs some type of protection. I'd like to use cheaper acrylic clears (matte, gloss, etc) but worried it'll react to the UV ink. Anyone with experience using these together? I'm thinking any water-based clear would work fine, but with this HP I've learned to never assume anything. :)
