Al Jaffee, spent a lot of time in the 60s reading and watching his work. RIP

Arial Sucks.
I ruined a lot of issues of Mad Magazine to see how his folded illustrations would line up. Al Jaffee was one of the greats and had the longest run of any cartoonist at a magazine.

You could not beat the tri-folds that he would design. I looked forward to those back in the 60's.
102?, not a bad run.

Two types of people in this world...those that read MAD magazine (and watched Monty Python) and then the rest.

What - Me Worry?

A portrait of Alfred E Newman should be hanging in the National Gallery IMHO.

Google up Alfred in images to see some great variations. The age enhanced Alfred is a hoot.

Al Jaffee was the best. His fold-ins made a big impression on me when I was a kid. I remember he did one that was designed to make you think it was one thing, then when you actually did the fold-in, it was something even funnier than what you thought it was going to be.
