Lost the display menu...(blank)

Turned on the printer to find the display menu showing a zero (0)
When I push menu button, I get two zeros, one above the other.

Rebooted three times, and unplugged the power for a cold boot, though I have nothing at all showing in display menu window.
Am printing while I write this post, so is working in that respect.

Any clues as to what has happened, etc?

theres only one flat ribbon cable leading to the display board. The scan motor is typically behind the display board, and can get gear grease flicked onto it. Power off, pull the cable, clean the leads with alcohol, and try it again. It hooks up to the main board, so if you are printing still, thats good.

Thank you, Ragnabrok. That's pretty much what the tech-man said to do as well.
I pulled the display menu board and gave it a good cleaning. And while I had things opened up, did an internal dust removal as well.
I tested the cable with an Ohm meter, and all contacts were working, so put everything back together and it was fine thereafter.

:)
