I get this every now and then with mine as well. It seems if I just reboot my plotter and also save your work and restart LXI and it seems to work for me. Hope this helps.
I've uninstalled LXi and re-installed it but I still get the pop-up that says "Conection to Production Manager failed, try to connect again?" Yes or No. I click "yes" and the same message keeps popping up.
Try going here to see if it will help. They tell you to go to "start", "programs", then go to LXI, and click on clear preferences. There are some steps after that if it dont work.
