Mactac Permatrans vs. Seal Optimount

These products seem very similar and I imagine both perform just as well but I wanted to see if the community has a preference. We received a sample roll of the Permatrans and it seems to work well enough but I am curious how the Optimount compares.

Also, curious to know what the best type of acrylic is for plexi-face mounting.

We have used both quite a bit and both work equally well. The Mactac tends to be considerably less expensive. Acrylic is plexi (Plexiglass is not a product, it's a brand name). For face mounted prints I've never really seen any difference in brands of clear acrylic. I generally get the peices laser cut by a local place (RQ Laser & Plastics) that specializes in that.
