Roland claims the opacity is increased, but what kind of real world experiences are you having with the new Max 2 White ink? Is the opacity great enough where a sticker printed with just 1 pass of white, will appear as white (and not washed out grey) if applied to a tinted window?
We have considered purchasing a Roland white ink capable printer for years, but the opacity has been a major concern. We do not want to have to overprint the job 2 times with white to produce an acceptable product.
Anyone have any pictures of their white ink jobs, single pass, with the white or a color printed on the top, applied to a dark surface?
What about printing gradients, does anyone have any experience with how the gradients turn out when printed onto clear with a white underbase? It seems like setup would be odd, if the gradient was fading into a transparent area.
