Media for 42" printer

I am looking at buying a 42" L25500. From what I have seen, there aren't many options for material in this size. For those that have this printer or a similar size, are you buying 48" material and cutting it down?

do not have experience with that, but to me, it would make more sense to buy a wider roll, like 60 or 64".
Cut down to 42 and then you still have a decent size roll to use.

Also, most materials are hard to find in 48" size anyhow. I know, I had Mutoh Falcon 48"

That's a good point, I didn't think about that. There is still a lot that can be done on a 20" roll.
